The Powers Of Reiki

Reiki works at the basic levels of reality hence it has the capabilities to heal everything. However, we need not forget that although it is quite capable of doing so, there are still several limitations to this healing technique.

It seems that Reiki is limited by the personal readiness of the recipient to accept the change as well as the healing method offered by this technique. The degree of reality on which the principle of Reiki works, lies in the force structure of the things all around us.

The Reiki believers say that this technique works at a level where anything is changeable because everything has the characteristics of being pliable and malleable. The Reiki principle believes that emotional problems, being directly present in the environmental energy structures, can be healed as the physical ones. In this regards, Reiki is not only useful in the physical, but also the emotional aspect of healing.

In the context of Reiki, the term 'healing' connotes meanings other than the prevalently accepted definition which involves medical treatment performed by a doctor. Under the Reiki principle though, healing is accomplished through a holistic approach.

According to Reiki, all of us aspire for an ideal state which is our loftiest and the most obvious expression of our identities and characteristics. Pain and illness occur when a person's current or ideal form deviates from the 3d physical realm. Healing is therefore made possible by aligning this physical form as close with the ideal form as possible.

Moreover, by allowing our lives to be limited, we tend to deviate from the ideal form. This generally occurs during early childhood when people are more open and tend to question many things about life. When inquisitive kids are told by their parents to be quiet, they are in a way limited. They tend to learn not to voice out their opinions. Another example of limitation is phantom pain wherein a person does not lose his limp even after the physical injury has healed.

Other types of limitations include behavioral patterns, eating practices, imagined physical and mental inabilities, as well as psychological, mental or emotional ways of living, coping, loving and expressing ourselves that do not reach the person's highest potential level.

Any form of healing aims to look for the limitation while recognizing its origin and pattern at the same time to be able to do away with it. In the Reiki technique, this is achieved by giving the recipient sufficient energy to figuratively step on top and see everything while boosting his courage to let go in the process. Normally this does not happen at the conscious level with Reiki, but the technique does sometimes provide the recipient with the conscious awareness of the pattern as well as an insight as to its origin.
